  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, technical manuals, and equipment specifications.
  • Basic computer skills for using maintenance software, email, and record-keeping tools.
  • Valid driver’s license; commercial or heavy equipment certifications are considered an asset.

Role Description

The Shop Foreman is a full-time, on-site role based in Sexsmith, AB, responsible for overseeing daily shop operations and maintenance activities. This role involves supervising shop staff, scheduling and prioritizing work orders, and ensuring heavy equipment, trucks, and trailers are inspected, repaired, and maintained to company and regulatory standards. The Shop Foreman coordinates with drivers and operations staff to plan repairs, minimize downtime, and maintain accurate maintenance records. Day-to-day tasks include troubleshooting mechanical issues, managing parts and inventory, enforcing safety procedures, and supporting a clean, organized, and efficient shop environment. The role also requires clear communication with management regarding equipment status, resource needs, and continuous improvement opportunities.
