Job summary

Clear Destination Inc. is seeking a Shop Foreman for the Saint-Jacques-le-Mineur location. The role provides leadership for daily shop operations, assigns tasks to technicians, and collaborates with Service Advisors to coordinate repairs.

You will ensure quality, customer satisfaction, and a positive team environment. The position requires a DEP in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or equivalent experience, 3–5 years in a similar role, and strong leadership with excellent communication.

Qualifications

• DEP in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or relevant experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in a similar position (asset).
• Experience in personnel management (asset).
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise shop operations, assign tasks according to technicians’ skills, and provide support with technical decision-making.
• Ensure the smooth day-to-day operation and workflow of the shop.
• Work closely with Service Advisors to optimize operations and ensure proper coordination of repairs.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by overseeing and confirming the quality of completed repairs.
• Maintain a healthy, positive and team-oriented work environment.
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer procedures and quality standards.
• Review and follow up on repair orders, diagnostics and technicians’ reports.
• Follow up on complex repairs, warranty claims and manufacturer approvals.
• Monitor ongoing repairs and contribute to achieving team objectives.
• Manage shop equipment and ensure it is properly maintained and functioning.
• Keep the Office Tracker schedule and shop documentation up to date.

Starting at $80,000/year

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Experience, education and skills that would be an asset:

• Vocational diploma (DEP) in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or relevant experience
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position (asset)
• Experience in personnel management (asset)
• Good knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook)
• Strong leadership skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Bilingual in French and English, spoken and written (asset)
