Job summary

Inter IKEA Systems B.V. in Winnipeg seeks a Shop Design Specialist I to plan and execute store layouts, displays, and room settings, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance the customer experience and strengthen the IKEA brand.

Proficiency with REVIT is required; the role requires strong space-planning skills, hands-on experience with tools, measuring, and display installation, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Formal education in Architecture or Shop Design or equivalent experience.
• 1 year of related experience, or minimum 3 years of related experience.
• Proficiency with REVIT is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute store layouts, displays and room settings.
• Support seasonal launches and store transformations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the customer experience.
• Use REVIT and other design tools to bring concepts to life.
• Assist with display installation, merchandising and commercial lighting.

• Formal education in Architecture or Shop Design and 1 year of related experience, or minimum 3 years of related experience

• Plan and execute store layouts, displays, and room settings
• Support seasonal launches and store transformations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the customer experience
• Use REVIT and other design tools to bring concepts to life
• Assist with display installation, merchandising, and commercial lighting
• Utilise global tools to apply local and national guidelines to visual merchandising, strengthening the IKEA brand.
• Education and/or experience in Home Furnishing, Interior Design, or a related field
• Proficiency with REVIT (required)
• Strong visual and space-planning skills
• Passion for home furnishing, design, and retail
• Hands-on experience with tools, measuring, and display installation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort working on ladders and completing physical project work

The starting rate/ salary for this position ranges from 46000 CAD to 58000 CAD and will be based on relevant work experience.
