Function:

Job Summary: The Temporary Shipping Operator is responsible for the safe handling, storage, transferring, and loading of Granular Urea, adhering to all applicable regulations, policies, and standards. Responsibilities include inspecting, cleaning, loading trucks, and completing necessary paperwork to release trucks from the facility.

Major Responsibilities:

• EHS Leadership: Commit to safety standards, operate safety equipment, respond to emergencies, complete safety training, and practice safe work behaviors.
• Process Control and Equipment Operation: Understand and operate product handling and rail equipment safely, perform checks, follow SOPs, and operate supporting computer systems.
• Equipment and Process Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs during abnormal situations.
• Reporting and Communication: Maintain logs, communicate effectively with team members and supervisors, and participate in corporate activities and policy development.
• Teamwork: Foster positive communication, cooperation, and shared responsibilities within the team.
• Other: Support internal controls, participate in continuous improvement initiatives, and adhere to departmental procedures.

Position Qualifications: Grade Twelve Diploma, valid driver’s license, experience with heavy equipment is a plus, and good interpersonal skills.

Position Scope/Contribution: This is a temporary, 12-hour shift position with overtime and weekend work, lasting approximately one year.
