Job summary

Manpower Canada is seeking a Shipping Supervisor in Mississauga to join a growing distribution team. The role requires 3–4 years of supervisory warehouse experience and responsibilities include scheduling, safety, coaching, and process improvements.

Hours are 7am-3:30pm Monday to Friday, with a salary of 65K plus an annual bonus. Strong leadership and logistics skills are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of community college in supply chain logistics or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on logistics and leadership experience.
• Strong technical and process skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of related roles within the field of responsibility.
• Ability to process orders, track shipments and coordinate warehouse logistics.

Our growing Mississauga client who is a leader in distribution is looking for a Shipping Supervisor to join their team. The candidate must have a minimum of 3-4 years Supervisory experience in a warehouse and will be responsible for the following:

Responsibilities

• Develops and manages shipping schedules
• Develops and executes strategic initiatives to drive results
• Develops work schedules to ensure optimum utilization of manpower, materials and equipment.
• Promotes the continuous improvement of product and process. Identify solutions to issues, and investigate and trouble shoot problems.
• Ensure that all production equipment is properly maintained, in partnership with maintenance
• Promotes a harmonious work environment where fairness, equity and non-discriminatory practices are the standard.
• Ensure an on-going approach of coaching, training, disciplining employees, and enforcing policies and procedures.
• Ensures that all areas of the plant floor are clean, tidy, and organized
• Promotes and manages safety within company guidelines.
• Supervises the labour force in accordance with management guidelines.
• Achieves freight rate
• Other duties as assigned from time to time.
