Job summary

Adecco in Mississauga, ON is seeking an experienced Shipper/Receiver with forklift experience to join a small, established team. This hands-on role offers variety, ownership of your work, and a path to becoming a key contributor within a close-knit operations group.

You will coordinate shipping and receiving, manage inventory records, prepare orders, handle documentation, and support day-to-day warehouse activities alongside the Operations Manager.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years experience in a warehouse, shipping/receiving, inventory, logistics, or operations environment.
  • Forklift experience is required.
  • Strong computer skills and comfort learning and utilizing various systems and software.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Load, unload, and move materials using forklifts and other warehouse equipment
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory counts
  • Process documentation related to shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions
  • Work closely with the Manager to help ensure smooth day-to-day operations
  • Assist with various operational and warehouse-related projects as required
  • Communicate via email and phone with internal stakeholders for clear and transparent information
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment
  • Support general warehouse organization and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and take initiative to solve problems

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM


Compensation: $55,000 to $60,000 per year + benefits


About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on, detail-oriented Shipper/Receiver with forklift experience to join a small and established organization in Mississauga, ON. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their day, takes pride in ownership of their work, and wants to become a key contributor within a close-knit team.


Working alongside the Operations/Warehouse Manager, you will be involved in many aspects of day-to-day operations including shipping and receiving, inventory coordination, documentation, order fulfillment, and general warehouse support. Although some repetitive tasks, no two days are exactly the same, making this role ideal for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats and being part of a collaborative environment. We are looking for a long-term team member who values stability, continuous learning, and contributing to the success of the business.


What You'll Be Doing


  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments

  • Load, unload, and move materials using forklifts and other warehouse equipment

  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory counts

  • Process documentation related to shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions

  • Construct and build out products as required; training will be provided

  • Communicate via email and phone with internal stakeholders for clear and transparent information

  • Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment

  • Support general warehouse organization and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Identify opportunities for improvement and take initiative to solve problems


What We're Looking For


  • At least 3 years experience in a warehouse, shipping/receiving, inventory, logistics, or operations environment

  • Demonstrated employment stability and a desire to build a long-term career with one organization

  • Forklift experience is required

  • Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment, including lifting, moving, and handling materials throughout the day

  • Strong computer skills and comfort learning and utilizing various systems and software

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a small team

  • Self-motivated, accountable, and willing to seek and accept feedback constructively

  • Positive attitude with a willingness to assist wherever needed
