Job summary

Staples Canada in Calgary is seeking a warehouse associate to receive, store, and move products using forklift and pallet jacks. You will work under the supervision of a warehouse supervisor and be part of a team that keeps the operation running smoothly.

The role requires a minimum of three months in a warehouse, experience with equipment is preferred, and there is an opportunity to become certified. The shift runs 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm with benefits including discount, health and dental, and

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) months' related experience in a warehouse environment.
• Experience with warehouse equipment such as forklift, cherry picker and pallet jack preferred.
• Ability and interest to become certified in the operation of warehouse equipment will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, and move products around the warehouse using equipment.
• Perform work under the direction of warehouse supervisor or manager.
• Use hand-held scanners to enter product information while ensuring accuracy.
• Contribute to the efficient operation of warehouse activities through teamwork with co-workers in warehouse, drivers and purchasing personnel.
• Adhere to all safety procedures in the performance of job duties.

Warehouse Address: 25 Aero Drive N.E. Calgary, T2E 8Z9, AB

Shift Time: 12:00 pm - 8:30 pm, Monday - Friday

Wage: $17.20 -$19.20

Work requires moderate physical effort and the use of motor skills requiring manual dexterity to perform the essential duties of this job:

• The employee will regularly sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee may lift, lower, or carry products up to a maximum of 50 pounds by hand.
• The employee will operate warehouse equipment. Using proper safety procedures will eliminate any potential hazards.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
