Job summary

Staples Canada is seeking a warehouse teammate in Amherst, Nova Scotia. You will receive, store and move products in a fast-paced environment under the supervision of a warehouse manager, using forklifts and pallet jacks.

You will help ensure accurate orders, use scanners, and collaborate with drivers and purchasing staff to keep operations smooth. Applicants should have at least 3 months in a warehouse role; forklift and pallet jack experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) months' related experience in a warehouse environment.
• Experience with warehouse equipment such as forklift, cherry picker and pallet jack preferred.
• Ability and interest to become certified in the operation of warehouse equipment will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, and move product around the warehouse using equipment.
• Perform work under the direction of warehouse supervisor or manager.
• Operate equipment such as forklift and pallet jacks.
• Ensure accuracy of orders and examine discrepancies.
• Use hand-held scanners to enter product information and maintain accuracy.
• Contribute to efficient warehouse operations through teamwork with coworkers, drivers and purchasing personnel.
• Adhere to all safety procedures in the performance of duties.

• T he employee will operate warehouse equipment. Using proper safety procedures will eliminate any potential hazards.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
