Responsibilities
- Schedule, assign, and dispatch drivers for delivery, pickup, or disposal
- Validate material/equipment and order picklist availability
- Ensure warehouse is organized to support receiving, storing, and shipments of product
- Maintain manhours per logistic vehicles and equipment for payroll allocation
- Identify damaged, obsolete, or excess products/equipment/tools and arrange for disposal or sale
- Load inventory and equipment on trucks for delivery to job sites
- Lead and provide year-end physical inventory count
- Provide information regarding inventory levels in the warehouse
- Monitor fuel consumption of each vehicle or equipment
- Ensure material/equipment/tools have been processed and recorded prior to leaving warehouse
- Assist in audits for equipment/tools
- Monitor material/equipment/tool returns
- Stock materials in the yard and warehouse
- Ensure tasks conducted by drivers and yard staff are completed with Health & Safety at the forefront
- Provide service and support to other departments
- Process material purchase orders in the system
- Coordinate rental of equipment
- Verify the delivery of materials entering the warehouse and matching the PO
- Learn about roofing materials
- Perform other duties as required
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience
- 2+ years experience in shipping and receiving
- Driver's license
- Forklift license
- Ability to identify issues and participate in resolution of issues with standardization, cost reductions, and process analysis
- Ability to plan, direct, and coordinate daily routines for product receiving, storing, and shipment
- Construction experience is an asset
- Strong computer skills, proficiency in all MS Office applications
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Able to work in all weather conditions
