Responsibilities
  • Schedule, assign, and dispatch drivers for delivery, pickup, or disposal
  • Validate material/equipment and order picklist availability
  • Ensure warehouse is organized to support receiving, storing, and shipments of product
  • Maintain manhours per logistic vehicles and equipment for payroll allocation
  • Identify damaged, obsolete, or excess products/equipment/tools and arrange for disposal or sale
  • Load inventory and equipment on trucks for delivery to job sites
  • Lead and provide year-end physical inventory count
  • Provide information regarding inventory levels in the warehouse
  • Monitor fuel consumption of each vehicle or equipment
  • Ensure material/equipment/tools have been processed and recorded prior to leaving warehouse
  • Assist in audits for equipment/tools
  • Monitor material/equipment/tool returns
  • Stock materials in the yard and warehouse
  • Ensure tasks conducted by drivers and yard staff are completed with Health & Safety at the forefront
  • Provide service and support to other departments
  • Process material purchase orders in the system
  • Coordinate rental of equipment
  • Verify the delivery of materials entering the warehouse and matching the PO
  • Learn about roofing materials
  • Perform other duties as required
  • All other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience
  • 2+ years experience in shipping and receiving
  • Driver's license
  • Forklift license
  • Ability to identify issues and participate in resolution of issues with standardization, cost reductions, and process analysis
  • Ability to plan, direct, and coordinate daily routines for product receiving, storing, and shipment
  • Construction experience is an asset
  • Strong computer skills, proficiency in all MS Office applications
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
  • Able to work in all weather conditions
