Job summary

Fortin's in Chilliwack is seeking a full-time Shipping/Receiving associate to join our team at the Airport Road Location. The role involves processing courier deliveries, stock checks, and data entry, with a focus on accuracy and timely order processing.

You must have a valid BC driver's license, be customer-service oriented, able to lift up to 50 lbs, and willing to learn forklift certification if needed. We offer benefits, vacation, and employee pricing.

Qualifications

• Valid BC Driver's License required.

• Good driving record (driver’s abstract).

Responsibilities

• Process courier deliveries.
• Check stock orders by hand and with RF Gun.
• Cross-reference using supplied tools for receiving accuracy.
• Troubleshoot and report discrepancies/damages.
• Data entry for stock and special orders.
• Process warehouse returns/warranties quickly.
• Maintain workspace organization and cleanliness.
• Assist Dispatch when busy with picking orders.

Fortin's is a local, family-owned business that has been part of the community since 1946. We supply automotive/industrial products and are a part of Home Hardware.

Fortin's currently has stores in Chilliwack, Hope, and Abbotsford.

We are currently seeking an energeticand self-motivatedindividual to fill a full-time Shipping/Receiving position in Chilliwack at the Airport Road Location.

The successful Shipper/Receiver must have:

• Valid BC Driver's License
• Enjoy working with people
• Possess the ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills - Willing to learn
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines
• Experience with Forklift is an asset, or willing to be trained and certified.
• Good driver’s abstract
• Physically able and willing to lift 50lbs continuously
• Self-motivated
• Strong organizational skills
• Customer service and communication skills
• Willing to learn

This position is full-time, Monday to Friday. While not typical, a Saturday or Sunday shift may be required.

Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Process courier deliveries
• Checking off stock orders - by hand & using RF Gun
• Cross-referencing using supplied tools to ensure accuracy in receiving
• Troubleshooting and communicating any discrepancies/damages in received orders
• Data entry for stock and special orders
• Processing warehouse returns/warranties quickly
• Maintaining organization and cleanliness of the workspace
• Help Dispatch when busy with picking orders
