Job summary

Fort Garry Industries in Edmonton is seeking a reliable Shipper/Receiver to handle stock, pack and ship orders, and keep the warehouse organized for a seamless customer experience.

You will verify shipments, manage documents, and support branch operations while prioritizing safety and accuracy in every task. This role requires physical fitness and full-time availability, including Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of general warehouse experience, shipping/receiving, or order picker experience with RF scanner or barcode gun.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming stock and match quantities to shipping documents.
• Prepare outbound shipping documents for orders.
• Package, label and ship customer orders, ensuring accuracy.
• Inspect stock for defects and report issues to management.
• Replenish inventory in designated storage bins.
• May receive/sort worn brake shoe cores for remanufacturing.
• May secure cargo to a vehicle.
• May occasionally deliver parts with FGI vehicle.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Our EDMONTON EAST BRANCH has an exciting opportunity for a SHIPPER RECEIVER to join our team!

What You Will Do:

The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, packing and shipping orders, managing, organizing, and retrieving stock in the warehouse. You will work with your branch team members to deliver a high-quality customer experience that exceeds customer expectations through the following tasks:

• Accurately receive incoming product and match the quantity of items received to the shipping documents

• Prepare shipping documents for outbound products

• Package, label, and ship customer orders, verifying order accuracy before shipping

• Inspect stock items for wear or defects and report any damaged or missing stock to management.

• Replenish inventory items in designated warehouse storage bins

• May receive, sort, and organize worn brake shoe cores for shipping to our remanufacturing facility

• May secure cargo to a vehicle

• May occasionally deliver parts with FGI vehicle

• Other duties as assigned

What We Require:

• Must have1 year of general warehouse experience, shipping and receiving, or order picker experience using an RF Scanner or barcode gun, combined with a high school diploma or other equivalency certificate

• Must be ableto meet the physical requirements: Lift up to 75-100lbs, frequent standing and walking, reading small print and numbers

• Experience operating a forklift, using a RF scanner and familiarity with aftermarket parts or heavy-duty parts is preferred but not required

• A valid driver’s license and a recent driver’s abstract demonstrating no major infractions is preferred but not required

• Must have full time availability including Saturdays and overtime to meet business demands

• Proficient with Microsoft Office and other standard office equipment

• Excellent customer service skills

• Strong communication skills, including both written and verbal

• Team-oriented, adaptable, with a commitment to safety excellence
