Job summary

Stella-Jones is seeking a reliable team member for day shift operations in Alberta. You will strap, tally and rehandle lumber and poles, operate equipment safely, and follow safety policies while keeping workspace organized.

The role emphasizes hands-on tasks, attention to detail, and adherence to instructions in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, strong communication, basic math, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Strap and tally lumber, composite and/or poles.
• Rehandle lumber, composite and/or poles.
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow OHSA safety standards and complete paperwork.
• Maintain good housekeeping and report safety issues.

Responsibilities

• Work in compliance with all company rules and regulations
• Follow all company Health & Safety policies and SOPs
• Wear all PPE required and work in a safe manner
• Participate in all company mandated training in good faith
• Come to work prepared (both mentally and materially) to work in a variety of environments (all seasons, indoors & outdoors)
• Have excellent knowledge of operations and processes as necessary to the position
• Complete appropriate forms legibly and clearly
• Perform computer functions as necessary to complete assigned paperwork

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED

• Good manual dexterity, hand eye co-ordination

Schedule is:

Monday - Friday 6AM - 2PM

• available for overtime or schedule change as needed particularly in the busy season (May - September)
