Job summary

Stella-Jones is seeking a Production Operator to join our manufacturing team in Alberta. The role involves working 6:00am to 2:00pm, adhering to health and safety policies, and handling lumber, poles, and composites with care.

You will perform paperwork, operate equipment safely, and participate in required training. The position requires accuracy, reliability, and the ability to work outdoors or indoors across seasons.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Forklift experience is an asset but not required.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Follow company health and safety policies and SOPs.
• Operate and strap/tally lumber, composite, and poles while maintaining safety.
• Perform necessary paperwork and computer functions accurately.
• Maintain good housekeeping in all areas and report safety issues immediately.
• Work in various environments (indoors/outdoors) in a variety of seasons.
• Complete training and adhere to OHSA standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Production Operator

Responsibilities

• Work in compliance with all company rules and regulations
• Follow all company Health & Safety policies and SOPs
• Wear all PPE required and work in a safe manner
• Participate in all company mandated training in good faith
• Come to work prepared (both mentally and materially) to work in a variety of environments (all seasons, indoors & outdoors)
• Have excellent knowledge of operations and processes as necessary to the position
• Complete appropriate forms legibly and clearly
• Perform computer functions as necessary to complete assigned paperwork
• Strap and Tally Lumber, Composite & or Poles
• Rehandle Lumber, Composite & or Poles
• Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Maintain good housekeeping in all assigned areas
• Abide to OHSA (Occupational Health and Safety Act) workplace health and safety standards
• Report all Health & Safety issues immediately
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED

Shift is Monday to Friday 6:00am to 2:00pm.
