Qualifications

  • G Driver’s License and a clean 3-year abstract.
  • Shipping/Receiving experience is an asset.

  • Basic math skills and ability to sort alphanumerically.
  • Basic computer skills (Outlook, online database and web-based training).

Responsibilities

  • Support all store warehouse duties (picking, receiving, inventory control, shipping, stocking).
  • Coordinate drivers for effective dispatching of vehicles.
  • Load auto parts onto delivery vehicles safely.
  • Deliver parts while respecting customer requests.
  • Help control inventory and ensure product availability.
  • Complete paperwork accurately.
  • Collaborate with the main warehouse on stock concerns.
  • Keep store neat and organized (racking, shelves, pallets, etc.).
  • Answer inbound calls professionally.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Position Title: Auto Parts Store Shipper/Receiver/Dispatcher/Driver
Location: St. Catharines, Ontario
Type of Employment: Full-time permanent
Compensation: Wage range starting at $20.00 per hour, but may be increased based on experience, plus comprehensive group benefits
Hours
  • 40 to 44 hours/week
  • Monday to Friday
  • Occasional Saturdays as needed

Position Summary

As a Shipper/Receiver/Dispatcher, the individual will be required to check, pick, receive, ship, stock and organize automotive parts. They will effectively dispatch delivery drivers and safely deliver auto parts to customers, being mindful of customer requests. They will also help maintain the inventory and cleanliness of the store. They will be required to answer internal and external telephone calls and complete necessary paperwork in an accurate manner. Effective use of resources, such as the company database and parts catalogue, will be required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support all store warehouse duties (picking orders, receiving, inventory control, shipping, stocking, and organizing)
  • Coordinate the drivers for effective dispatching of vehicles
  • Efficiently and safely load auto parts onto delivery vehicles
  • Efficiently deliver parts, being mindful of customer requests

  • Maintain a clean and organized store by keeping racking, shelves, pallet area, workstations, and shared spaces neat (organize products, sweep, dust, sanitize, and mop)
  • When required, answer inbound calls and ensure all calls are answered in a professional manner
  • Other reasonable duties as assigned by the management team
Key Requirements
