Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Shipper & Receiver in Canada to coordinate shipments and maintain inventory. You will inspect incoming materials, prepare shipping docs, and track inventory while collaborating with operations and warehouse teams.

The role requires strong attention to detail and a safety-focused approach. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in transformer repair, experience in shipping/logistics in a manufacturing setting, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of transformer repair experience.
  • Experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control or logistics coordination in manufacturing/industrial environments.
  • Proficiency in record keeping and inventory documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and material-handling equipment safely.
  • Proven experience working afternoon shift (3:30 p.m.–2:00 a.m.), Monday–Thursday.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel).

Join Hitachi Energy and play an important role in supporting the efficient movement of materials that help power critical energy infrastructure. As a Shipper & Receiver, you will be responsible for coordinating incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, inspecting incoming materials, and ensuring products are properly documented and handled. Working on our afternoon shift, you will collaborate with operations, logistics, and warehouse teams to support production activities and maintain the smooth flow of materials throughout the facility. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment where attention to detail, organization, and a commitment to quality contribute directly to operational success and customer satisfaction.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Your Background
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in Canada.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in transformer repair.
  • Experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control, or logistics coordination within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Proficiency in record keeping and inventory documentation.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and material‑handling equipment safely and effectively.
  • Availability to work the afternoon shift, Monday through Thursday, from 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.
