Job summary

Mercedes-Benz North Vancouver is currently seeking a Parts Shipper & Receiver to join the Parts Department. This role reports to the Parts Manager and ensures accurate, timely flow of parts to support dealership operations and customer experience.

The Parts Shipper & Receiver handles receiving, storing, and distributing parts while maintaining inventory integrity and assisting internal service teams and customers. Annual salary estimate provided as part of the posting is approximately $47,757.59.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous experience with automotive parts, inventory management, or shipping/receiving preferred.
• Working knowledge of parts inventory operations and procedures.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to exceed customer expectations.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work with a sense of urgency and meet deadlines.
• Proficient computer skills, including MS Office, Internet applications, ADP, and Electronic Parts Catalogs (EPC).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Legal entitlement to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming parts shipments for accuracy, quantity, and condition.
• Report shipment discrepancies, shortages, or damaged items promptly and take corrective action.
• Expedite received parts to appropriate Parts Advisors and internal departments.
• Label parts accurately with proper part numbers and ensure correct binning and storage.
• Monitor and update part number changes and adjust inventory locations as required.
• Identify and process special-order parts and notify the appropriate department or customer.
• Perform customer follow-ups on special-order parts to ensure timely communication and satisfaction.
• Provide product information and promote parts and accessory sales to customers.
• Maintain adequate inventory of batteries, boutique items, and accessories displays.
• Assist internal and external customers at the parts counter and over the phone.
• Support general housekeeping of the parts department, including stockroom organization and inventory replenishment.
• Act as a backup to Parts Advisors when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Position Overview
