Advanced Bending Technologies is looking for an experienced and energetic Shipper/Receiver to join our Production Facility in Calgary, AB.

Working as part of a strong collaborative team at Advanced Bending, the Shipper/Receiver will assist in a variety of tasks to support production, shop upkeep, and efficiency.

Essential Functions for This Role

• Receive purchased products and verify against purchase order requirements.
• Receive customer-supplied products and verify against customer requirements.
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts and other lifting equipment, directly and through delegation.
• Generate packing slips, calculate weights, and determine dimensions.
• Ensure shipments are packaged according to customer requirements.
• Identify incoming material with work order number and customer’s name as applicable.
• Organize and direct the movement of traffic and materials in the yard.
• Maintain cleanliness in the yard.
• Communicate with office and shop staff via radio.
• Work in accordance with the quality management system and complete all relevant records.

Experience, Qualifications, and Skills Required

• Superior organization skills to keep stock locations organized.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to be a team player and support your team and department when needed.
• High school education or GED equivalent.
• Computer skills are an asset.
• Forklift certification is an asset.
• Overhead crane experience.
• Knowledge of shop procedures.
• Minimum 3 months of material handling experience.
• Knowledge of quality management systems including purchasing, receiving, shipping, inspection, testing, traceability, nonconformances, corrective and preventive actions, document control, and record control.
