Job summary

Westlake Chemical in Vaughan, ON is seeking a warehouse associate to review shipping orders, process picks, and maintain organized yards and warehouses. You will store finished products, construct packaging, inspect labels, and support recycling initiatives.

Candidates must have forklift certification, strong English, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. This is a full-time, on-site role with afternoon shift pay.

Qualifications

• Lift truck certification required.
• Ability to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (23 kilograms).

Responsibilities

• Review shipping orders as distributed by shipping supervisor.
• Process orders accordingly (i.e. picking orders).
• Ensure that yard and warehouse are organized to maximize efficiency, safety and customer order turnaround.
• Put away all finished product from Fabrication and Assembly area in designated warehouse spaces.
• Construct packaging (Skids/Gaylords); inspect packaging and apply labels as required.
• Keep work area clean; participate in the PVC Recovery program and recycle scrap material.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Senior Management.
