Job summary

Westlake Pipe & Fittings in Vaughan, Canada, is seeking a warehouse associate for the afternoon shift. You will review shipping orders, pick and process orders, and ensure the yard and warehouse are organized for efficiency and safety. You will store finished products, construct packaging, and label items for tracking.

The role requires forklift certification and ability to lift up to 50 pounds. A collaborative team environment and routine recycling initiatives are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds/23 kilograms.
• Experience in warehouse or shipping roles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review shipping orders as distributed by shipping supervisor.
• Process orders accordingly (i.e. picking orders).
• Ensure yard and warehouse organized for efficiency and safety.
• Put away finished product in designated warehouse spaces.
• Construct packaging such as Skids/Gaylords.
• Repack damaged products and inspect packaging.
• Apply labels (barcodes) and keep work area clean.
• Participate in PVC Recovery program and recycle scrap.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Senior Management.

• Put away all finished product from Fabrication and Assembly area (stock stored inside and outside) in the designated warehouse spaces.


• Construct packaging i.e Skids/Gaylords


• Repack damaged products.


• Apply labels as required (i.e. barcodes).


• Keep work area clean (i.e. yard, bundle area)


• Participate in the PVC Recovery program, ensure recycling of: broken pipe scrap pipe


• Perform other duties as assigned by Senior Management.

Skills And Abilities Required

• Lift truck certification.( Counterbalance, order picker and reach truck) required


• Ability to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in English.


• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).


• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds/23 kilograms.
