Job summary

Westlake in Abbotsford is seeking a Shipping Loader Operator to support stock movement, loading/unloading trucks, and order fulfillment. The role requires safe, accurate picking and packing using an RF scanner, with attention to detail and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Typical duties include paperwork, yard organization, and adherence to safety rules. Possession of a forklift certification and BC driver’s license is preferred as part of the required qualifications.

Responsibilities

Hourly Rate = $25.58

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Moving stock between plant and the shipping yard
• Loading and offloading trucks
• Communicating with truck drivers and making sure all loads are loaded safely
• Completing receiving paperwork
• Housekeeping and restocking the stock
• Picking and packing the orders by using DSI scanner
• Completing all orders including piecework
• Completing any tasks requested by Supervisor or Lead Hand
• Following all safety rules
• Completing all required training

• Experience as a Shipping Loader Operator at Westlake Pipe & Fittings or equivalent
• Demonstrating a good working knowledge of safe and efficient truck-loading procedures is an asset
• Good knowledge of various pipe and fittings SKUs with regard to the yard/warehouse locations is an asset
• Must have the ability to work staggered shift schedule as per Collective Bargaining Agreement
• Basic knowledge of computer skills
• Ability to follow instructions as directed by Supervisor
