Job summary

Westlake Chemical Corporation is seeking a Warehouse Associate for the Afternoon shift in Canada. You will review shipping orders, pick/pack, and ensure yard and warehouse organization to maximize efficiency and safety.

You will also handle labeling, stock put-away, and recycling initiatives as part of daily duties. Qualifications include a valid lift truck certification and ability to read and communicate in English; basic math skills and ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• Lift truck certification (Counterbalance, order picker and reach truck) required.
• Ability to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).

Responsibilities

• Review shipping orders as distributed by shipping supervisor.
• Process orders accordingly (i.e. picking orders).
• Ensure that yard and warehouse are organized to maximize efficiency, safety and customer order turnaround.
• Put away all finished product from Fabrication and Assembly area in designated warehouse spaces.
• Construct packaging such as Skids/Gaylords and inspect packaging.
• Repack damaged products and apply labels as required (barcodes).
• Keep work area clean (yard, bundle area) and place scrap material in designated bins.
• Participate in PVC Recovery program and support recycling of scrap materials.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Senior Management.
