Job summary

IKO Industries Ltd. is seeking a Warehouse Person in Brampton, ON. You will report to the Shipping Supervisor and operate a sit-down counter balance forklift, primarily outdoors, following FIFO to locate stock in yard and warehouse and to load/unload trucks.

The role requires valid forklift certification (Class 1), reading pick lists, and the ability to work overtime including weekends; two years forklift experience and a strong team ethic are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must have valid forklift certification class 1 license.
• Must be able to read a pick list.
• Must be able to work overtime as necessary, including weekends.
• 2 years forklift experience.
• Previous experience with materials handling & distribution warehouses preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a sit down counter balance forklift while maintaining a valid forklift certification.
• Must be comfortable working outside in the elements.
• Communicate with drivers to ensure the accuracy of the load as well as safety requirements for loading/unloading materials.
• Identify where product is located in the yard and in the warehouse by utilizing the FIFO system.
• Load/unload trucks.
• Pick and sort stock using a forklift ensuring minimal errors.
• Assist with inventory counts as required.
• Guide truck drivers where they need to go in order to safely loaded/unloaded.
