Description

New-Indy Ontario, LLC is currently accepting applicants for the position of Shift Supervisor at the paper mill located in Ontario, CA. This is an exempt position responsible for meeting safety and production requirements at the Ontario Mill.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
  1. Leads mill production technicians and serves as a coach in meeting mill goals; assists with the development of the Set-up Shift Supervisors.
  2. Completes projects as assigned by the Production Manager.
  3. Works with the Production Manager to plan and execute mill maintenance shutdowns.
  4. Maintains equipment by ensuring basic care rounds are completed and operator maintenance is performed as required; conducts periodic audits to ensure employees meet program requirements.
  5. Assists employees in gathering and analyzing data for continuous improvement efforts.
  6. Encourages employees to continually seek process improvements and communicates ideas to management.
  7. Explains and enforces policies; resolves work problems by involving team members in problem-solving techniques.
  8. Works with employees to resolve issues or complaints; communicates employee concerns with the Production and Human Resources Managers.
  9. Performs other functions as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical materials; effectively present information to top management and all employee levels.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Supervisory experience.
PREFERRED :
  • Knowledgeable in Excel and various Microsoft programs.
