Job summary

Barry Callebaut is seeking a Shift Lead to drive safe, efficient, and cost-effective production on a 12-hour shift in Brantford. You will champion BCOS principles, coach teams, and deliver improvements in safety, quality, and productivity.

You will lead on-site operations, manage attendance and shift reporting, and collaborate with maintenance for equipment reliability, while fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• College diploma or degree in a related field such as Food Science, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or Business Administration.
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in a food manufacturing or industrial production environment.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience leading frontline manufacturing teams.
• Demonstrated experience in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement and operational excellence systems.
• Experience using KPIs and performance metrics to drive business results.
• SAP experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production activities to ensure safety, quality, service and productivity targets.
• Communicate production schedules, priorities and customer requirements to teams.
• Set clear expectations, monitor performance and ensure accountability for results.
• Monitor line performance and respond to operational challenges.
• Coordinate production flow, staffing, equipment availability and material requirements.
• Arrange rework for unfinished or non-conforming products and complete shift documentation.
