Allied Universal is seeking a Security Site Supervisor for a shelter in Hamilton, ON. You will oversee daily security operations, supervise officers, and manage site access to ensure a safe environment.

The role emphasizes calm leadership, strong communication, and quick incident response on a day shift from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Requirements include an Ontario Security Guard Licence, prior supervisory security experience, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Ontario Security Guard Licence is required.
• Previous security supervisory experience is required.
• Strong communication, leadership and conflict-resolution skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours per week.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and provide direction to the security team during assigned shifts.
• Ensure security officers are properly deployed and completing duties.
• Conduct regular patrols and security inspections of the site and perimeter.
• Monitor and control access to the facility and ensure only authorized entry.
• Respond to security incidents, emergencies and disturbances professionally.
• Apply de-escalation techniques when dealing with challenging situations.
• Complete accurate incident and occurrence reports and other documentation.
• Conduct shift briefings and communicate important information to the security team.
• Liaise with site management, staff, residents, visitors and emergency responders.
• Ensure all site post orders, policies and procedures are followed.
