Job summary

The Downtown Eastside Women's Centre (DEWC) in Vancouver, BC is seeking a Skills Development and Programming Coordinator. The role oversees volunteers, peers, and programming within DEWC shelters, recruiting, orientating, and scheduling volunteers while facilitating cultural, social, recreational, and educational activities for shelter members.

Reporting to the Manager of Cultural & Skills Development Programs, the Coordinator will work with DEWC staff to ensure services for women, using a

Qualifications

• At least 2 years related experience, preferably with marginalized women in a non-profit environment.
• Experience developing and facilitating programs including assessment and evaluation.
• Experience providing assisted referral as well as familiarity with support services, agencies and community resources in the DTES.
