Job summary

Advance Paper Box Ltd is seeking a full-time Sheeter Operator to run the sheeter machine, ensure product quality, and meet production targets. This position is based in Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada, and operates on a continental 12-hour day shift (7 am–7 pm) with rotating weeks.

The role requires a minimum of two years of machine operating experience and forklift/clamp truck familiarity. You will inspect raw materials, perform setups, run cut jobs, and complete production and quality

Responsibilities

• Review material requisitions and produce sheets according to specs.
• Inspect incoming raw material board for damage and report it.
• Adjust cutting blade to produce a clean cut.
• Perform setup and ream cut jobs as needed.
• Conduct quality checks and complete documents to quality standards.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Complete production and hourly management reports.
• Report food safety and quality problems to management.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Advance Paper Box Ltdis looking for a full-time Sheeter Operatorto join our team, who will be responsible for running our sheeter machine, ensure quality of products are maintained, and meeting production targets.

Advance Paper Box is a fully integrated folding carton manufacturing facility, including design, die making, printing, die cutting and gluing. Our customers range from food and pharmaceutical manufacturers to computer software and automotive supply companies.

Note: This is a 12-hour shift from 7 am to 7 pm on a continental Day shift.

Shift Schedule: Rotating shifts- 1st week- Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun; 2nd week- Wed, Thu

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Review material requisitions and produce sheets according to specifications such as caliper, roll width, and board grade as requested.
• Inspect incoming raw material board for shipping damage and wet stock and report damage to the Department Manager.
• Adjust cutting blade as necessary to produce a clean cut.
• Perform setup and ream cut jobs as needed.
• Perform quality checks and ensure documents are accurately completed, in accordance with our quality standard requirements.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Complete production and hourly management reports.
• Responsible for reporting all food safety and quality problems to the Department Manager or Quality Team.
• May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Two (2) years of machine operating manufacturing experience.
• Previous warehouse experience will be considered an asset.
• Must be able to use a forklift and clamp truck to safely load and unload trucks.
• Willing to learn operating on Clamp truck.
• Must be comfortable working with a computer and have a good grasp of numbers.
• Must be able to work with little or no supervision and in a team environment.
• Professional appearance and a positive attitude.

Physical Capabilities:

• Able to work continental 12-hour shifts during the day
• Some heavy lifting is required
• Frequent walking and standing for extended periods of time
