Job summary

The Comfort Group, part of RT Holdings Inc, seeks a Sheet Metal Supervisor to lead HVAC sheet metal work for field installations in Nanaimo, BC. You will oversee layout/fabrication, inventory control, and material logistics to ensure on-time project delivery.

Ideal candidates have a sheet metal journeyman ticket and HVAC layout experience, with strong organizational, communication, and computer skills. This role offers growth, benefits and a vehicle/allowance where applicable.

Qualifications

• Sheet metal ticket - 3rd/4th year journeyman.
• 2 years HVAC layout/fabrication experience (shop environment).
• Ability to size duct jobs and read drawings.
• Inventory control experience and organizational skills.
• Clear Criminal Record and valid driver's license with clean record.
• Able to perform physical work (lifting up to 50 pounds).
• Strong interpersonal and customer relations skills.
• Proficient computer literacy and basic accounting familiarity.
• Proven time management and task organization.

Responsibilities

• Layout and fabrication of sheet metal fitting for field installations.
• Inventory control and restocking materials for jobsites.
• Keep office and warehouse organized and clean.
• Run materials to field crews and support installation teams.
• Fill out restocking sheets and put away orders.
• Perform inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.

RIght Time requires energetic, motivated and career-minded Sheet Metal Supervisor to be responsible for performing sheet metal work for HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems and equipment installations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Layout and fabrication of sheet metal fitting required for field installations


• Inventory control


• Keep office and warehouse organized and clean


• Run materials to field crews


• Fill out restocking sheets


• Put away orders


• Perform inventory Counts

Education/Experience/Skills

• Sheet metal Ticket - 3rd or 4th year journeyman


• 2 years HVAC layout/fabrication experience (within a shop environment)


• Ability to size duct jobs


• Inventory control experience


• Clear Criminal Record


• Valid drivers license, with clean driving record


• Able to perform physical work (bending, lifting, carrying, climbing ladders/stairs, loading/unloading) parts up to 50 pounds in weight.


• Strong interpersonal and customer relations skills


• Strong computer literacy, with previous administrative and accounting experience


• Proven ability to effectively manage time and organize and complete tasks.
