Job summary

Mersey Heating, a division of RT Holdings Inc, is seeking energetic Installers and Service Technicians to perform onsite installations, service, and repairs in residential homes across Canada.

With a minimum of 3 years HVAC experience and valid gas/AC licenses, you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing heating and cooling systems while delivering excellent customer service in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years HVAC experience with furnaces, central and ductless AC, gas boilers, water heaters including tankless heaters.
• Valid Gas Fitter Two License.
• Residential Air Conditioning License (Journeyman or RedSeal).
• Valid Driver's License with a clean record.
• Clear criminal record.
• Demonstrated strong technical and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite installations, service and repairs in residential homes.
• Ensure equipment meets codes and standards per authority.
• Follow Energy Star installation processes and procedures.
• Educate customers on care and maintenance and HVAC options.
• Complete HVAC equipment inspections.
• Maintain a clean, fully stocked vehicle.
• Promote products and services on every call.
• Provide a five-star experience or resolve issues before leaving.

What we are looking for:

We require energetic, motivated and career-minded Installers and Service Technicians to be responsible for performing onsite installations, service and repairs in residential homes.

• A minimum of 3 years recent HVAC experience with exposure to furnaces, central and ductless air conditioners, gas boilers, water heaters including tankless heaters
• Valid Gas Fitter Two License
• Residential Air Conditioning License (Journeyman or RedSeal)
• Valid Driver's License with a clean record
• Clear criminal record
• Must have demonstrated strong technical, customer service skills and company metrics in current and previous roles.
• Must be effective at HVAC lead generation and CPP enrolments.
• Comfortable working from heights and using a ladder
• An accountable and responsible personality, delivering high customer satisfaction and has a positive, can-do attitude
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively within a team environment, completing the installation and commissioning of HVAC elements

What will you do:

We want our Technicians to become masters of their trade and always give customers the red carpet treatment advising them on potential services or treatments that work for them.

• Ensure customers heating, ventilation, and air-condition equipment meets or exceeds the Technical Standards & Safety Authority’s codes and municipal building codes and standards.
• Follow all Energy Star installation processes and procedures.
• Educate customers on proper care and maintenance and promote all various HVAC options
• Complete general and specific HVAC equipment inspections
• Maintain a clean, fully stocked vehicle
• Promote our products and services on every call
• Provide a five-star experience on every call or make it right before leaving the customers home
• Feel comfortable requesting online reviews from customers.
• Contribute to our high standards of health and safety
