Job summary

Southern Comfort Mechanical Inc. in Winnipeg is seeking an experienced sheet metal installer for retrofit and new construction projects in residential and light commercial settings.

You will fabricate and install ductwork, install in-floor heating piping, and support geothermal installations while communicating professionally with homeowners, builders, and site supervisors. A Level 2 sheet metal apprenticeship or higher is required, plus a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and reliable daily transportation to Winnipeg jobsites.

Responsibilities

Pay: From CA$29.54 per hour

Southern Comfort Mechanical Inc. is a growing company and is currently seeking an experienced sheet metal installer to work in our Retrofit department. This position offers a wide variety of work including retrofit installs of furnaces, A/C, and geothermal, as well as complete installs in new high-end custom homes. Our head office is located in Grande Pointe, but our jobsites are located within Winnipeg.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication and installation of residential and light commercial ductwork
• Installation of in-floor (hydronic) heating piping

Qualifications

• At minimum a Level 2 sheet metal apprentice or higher
• Strong skillset in laying out complex ducting systems
• Possess a valid and current driver’s license
• Must have reliable daily transportation to job sites within Winnipeg
• Professional communication and customer interaction skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and reliable
• Takes pride in quality craftsmanship
