Job summary

GDI Ainsworth in Calgary, Alberta is seeking an experienced Sheetmetal Technician for commercial service and installation work with existing and new customers. You will perform service repairs on ductwork and support installation of HVAC equipment, interpret blueprints, calculate material takeoffs, and maintain safe, high‑quality workmanship with strong customer service.

Qualified applicants will be Alberta Apprentice with a solid understanding of mechanical installation and Building/Fire codes

Qualifications

• Alberta Apprentice required.
• Understanding of Mechanical Installation and Building/Fire codes.
• Valid Alberta driver's license.
• Strong math and problem solving skills.
• Able to work alone and in a team environment.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform service repairs on existing building ductwork distribution systems.
