Orlick Industries Ltd. in Hamilton, Ontario, is seeking a Shaft Pusher to operate a die cast machine safely and continuously, producing high quality aluminum parts to meet production targets. The role requires attention to safety checks, accurate documentation, and efficient housekeeping.

Shifts are Monday to Thursday, 10 hours per week across days and evenings. Benefits include dental, vision care, prescription coverage, extended health care, and pension contributions.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years die cast experience preferred.
• Ability to adapt quickly to change.
• Problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Mechanically inclined with good hand/eye coordination.

Responsabilités

• Ensure consistent quality relative to production targets per hour.
• Accurate record-keeping/documentation (start safety checks, production, scrap, downtime).

Shaft Pusher

Position Summary:

The Shaft Pusher is responsible for the safe, continuous operation of a die cast machine to consistently produce high quality aluminum parts as measured by specific production targets.

• Shift Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 10 hour weekly rotating shifts (Days 7:00am - 5:00pm; Afternoons 5:00pm - 3:00am)

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the safe continuous operation of a die cast machine.
• Ensure consistent quality as it relates to specified production performance targets per hour.
• Accurate record-keeping/documentation (pre-start safety checks, production, daily scrap, downtime, etc.)
• Housekeeping of work area; keeping it clean and free of debris to maintain a safe and efficient workspace.

Skills & Qualifications:

• 1 - 4 years die cast experience preferred.
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to change.
• Problem solving & troubleshooting skills.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Strong hand/eye coordination.
• Detail oriented.
