Qualifications

• Prior experience in sewer, water and earthworks projects is an asset.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.
• Ability to work with guidance from Sewer and Water supervisor.

Responsibilities

Job Overview

As a Heavy Equipment Operator with the Sewer and Water crew, you will be responsible for operating various equipment. Your expertise will ensure the efficient and safe completion of Sewer and Water projects.

Duties

• Operate and maintain heavy equipment (dozer, loader, and excavators)
• Safely perform tasks such as digging, grading, leveling, and moving materials.
• Conduct pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on equipment, including cleaning and lubricating.
• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to ensure precise work.
• Collaborate with project managers and team members to meet project requirements and timelines.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations on-site.
• Prepare accident reports and perform minor repairs to equipment as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Prior experience as a Labourer, Pipelayer or Heavy Equipment Operator in sewer, water and earthworks projects an asset.

• Ability to work with and accept guidance from Sewer and Water direct supervisor.

Working Conditions
