Job summary

Haywood Securities is looking for a Settlements Administrator to join its Vancouver team, reporting to the Team Lead, Settlements. You will ensure accurate CDS buy-ins and daily reconciliation with strong client service and attention to detail.

The role requires 3–5 years in securities settlement, across Canadian, U.S. and foreign trades, with a 6:00am PST start. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Loanet are expected.

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience with securities settlement across Canadian, U.S. and foreign trades.
  • Professional demeanor in all communications and ability to handle multiple deadlines.
  • Proactive approach and flexible to take on new challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate, administer and process CDS buy ins.
  • Prepare and review Short sale reporting.
  • Manage Lending & Borrowing desk functions using Loanet.
  • Reconcile & balance control accounts daily.
  • Daily reviewing and completion of Seg Reporting.
  • Back up to USD Settlements Administrator.
  • Complete general administrative duties as required.

About the position

Haywood is currently recruiting a Settlements Administrator to join its team. Reporting to the Team Lead, Settlements, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their commitment to providing exceptional client service, attention to detail and a willingness to take on new responsibilities and challenges as they arise.

Responsibilities include:
  • Communicate, administer and process CDS buy ins
  • Prepare and review Short sale reporting
  • Manage Lending & Borrowing desk functions using Loanet
  • Reconcile & balance control accounts daily
  • Daily reviewing and completion of Seg Reporting
  • Back up to USD Settlements Administrator
  • Complete General administrative duties as required
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience with securities settlement including settlement of Canadian, U.S., and foreign trades
  • Daily hours begin at 6:00am
  • Strong ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Professional demeanor in all forms of interpersonal communications;
  • Proactive approach to job responsibilities
  • Flexible personality to take on new challenges as they arise
  • Complete tasks with minimal direction/supervision
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with Dataphile Desktop, DTC, CDS, Arrow and Loanet applications is a definite asset
