Job summary

Haywood Securities is seeking a Settlements Administrator to join our time-sensitive settlement team in Vancouver. You will handle CDS buy-ins, short sale reporting, and daily reconciliation while supporting the Lending & Borrowing desk.

This permanent full-time position starts at 6:00am PST on weekdays, with responsibilities spanning daily balance reviews, Seg Reporting, and back-up coverage for USD settlements. A minimum 3–5 years in securities settlement is required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience with securities settlement including settlement of Canadian, U.S., and foreign trades.
  • Daily hours begin at 6:00am.
  • Proactive approach to job responsibilities.
  • Professional demeanor in all forms of interpersonal communications.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate, administer and process CDS buy ins.
  • Prepare and review Short sale reporting.
  • Manage Lending & Borrowing desk functions using Loanet.
  • Reconcile & balance control accounts daily.
  • Daily reviewing and completion of Seg Reporting.
  • Back up to USD Settlements Administrator.
  • Complete General administrative duties as required.

About the position

Haywood is currently recruiting a Settlements Administrator to join its team. Reporting to the Team Lead, Settlements, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their commitment to providing exceptional client service, attention to detail and a willingness to take on new responsibilities and challenges as they arise.

Responsibilities include:
  • Communicate, administer and process CDS buy ins
  • Prepare and review Short sale reporting
  • Manage Lending & Borrowing desk functions using Loanet
  • Reconcile & balance control accounts daily
  • Daily reviewing and completion of Seg Reporting
  • Back up to USD Settlements Administrator
  • Complete General administrative duties as required
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience with securities settlement including settlement of Canadian, U.S., and foreign trades
  • Daily hours begin at 6:00am
  • Strong ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Professional demeanor in all forms of interpersonal communications;
  • Proactive approach to job responsibilities
  • Flexible personality to take on new challenges as they arise
  • Complete tasks with minimal direction/supervision
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with Dataphile Desktop, DTC, CDS, Arrow and Loanet applications is a definite asset
