  • Process receipt and delivery of securities in physical and electronic form for client accounts.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing transit.
  • Manage safety deposit boxes and lifting up to 40 pounds.
  • Arrange pickups/deliveries with financial institutions, transfer agents, law firms, and issuers.
  • Obtain documentation to negotiate securities.
  • File, scan and retrieve securities.
  • Support banking services.

About the position

Haywood’s Operations Department is currently looking to recruit a Junior Securities Administrator to join the Vancouver office for a 1 year contract. To be successful in this role, the candidate must be able to demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional customer/client service, attention to detail and a willingness to take on new responsibilities and challenges as they arise.

Responsibilities include:
  • Counter services at the Securities Cage
  • Receipt and delivery of securities in both physical certificate and electronic form for client accounts
  • Incoming and outgoing transit
  • Controlling safety deposit boxes, must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Pick-ups and deliveries dealing with Financial Institutions, Transfer Agents, Law Firms, Issuers
  • Obtaining documentation to negotiate securities
  • Filing, Scanning and retrieving securities
  • Support banking services
Requirements:
Education and Qualifications
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with Dataphile Broadridge, CDS and DTC applications is a definite asset
  • Three to five years of experience in the financial industry preferred
