Job summary

Navitas Limited, in partnership with Western International College, seeks an experienced Instructor in London, Ontario, to deliver pathways courses for international students. The role involves teaching two courses with a combination of classroom and office hours, aligned with program goals and learner needs.

The successful candidate will bring a Master’s in STEM, 5+ years of post-secondary teaching, and a track record in intercultural, equity-informed pedagogy.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in engineering/STEM or applied sciences.
• Minimum of 5 years of post-secondary teaching experience, with international/newcomer populations.
• Deep understanding of intercultural communication and equity-informed teaching practices.
• Demonstrated experience in supporting student wellness and academic skill-building.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and inclusive instruction in course topics.
• Facilitate student learning through in-class activities, discussions, group work, and experiences.
• Support students' transition to post-secondary education in Canada by modeling effective academic strategies and inclusive community-building.
• Integrate equity-informed, trauma-aware, and culturally responsive teaching approaches.
