• FNSC 106 – Exploring the Natural Sciences


• AGLP 111 – Aboriginal Governance & the Indian Act


• AGLP 155 – Aboriginal Leadership Principles & Ethics


• Possess a master's degree in a related field.


• Experience in classroom teaching and learning practices with Indigenous adult learners.


• Strong connections and roots within Indigenous communities.


• Excellent teaching and human relations skills – faculty members are expected to contribute positively to the life of the school and community.


• Demonstrated understanding of Indigenous ways of knowing


• Understanding of Canada's colonial history and the devastating impacts on Indigenous peoples and Indigenous ways of being and knowing.


• Practice from a holistic, culturally safe and trauma-informed lens.


• Knowledge of and appreciation for Indigenous languages and cultures, and Indigenous lived experiences.


• Proven ability to build collaborative working relationships to achieve outcomes in the best interest of students and NVIT.


• A demonstrated commitment to quality service to students and the public.
