The Department of Computer Science within the Faculty of Science invites applications for a CPSC 329 Sessional Instructor for the Winter 2027 Term.
The successful candidate will have responsibilities for lecture instruction, and any other associated course management duties for this 3-unit course, including the supervision and direction of teaching assistants that will deliver the tutorial sections.
CPSC 329 covers a broad survey of topics in information security and privacy, with the purpose of cultivating an appropriate mindset for approaching security and privacy issues. Topics will be motivated by recreational puzzles. Legal and ethical considerations will be introduced as necessary.

Applicants should have a minimum of an MSc in Computer Science or a closely related discipline; a PhD is preferred. Experience with the Desire 2 Learn (D2L) course management system, knowledge of best practices for assessments, and techniques for engaging students will be considered assets. Previous teaching experience at the post-secondary level will also be considered an important asset. Graduate students and postdocs in our program looking to obtain teaching experience will be first considered, followed by applicants with a postgraduate degree.
