Job summary

You will design, implement, and integrate complex workflows and applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development, strong scripting skills in JavaScript, HTML and CSS, and relevant certifications such as CSA.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
• Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform architecture and ITSM/CMDB modules.
• Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, CSS and ServiceNow scripting environments.
• Proficient in REST/SOAP integrations and data transformation.
• Experience with Studio, Flow Designer, Scoped Applications.
• Agile/Scrum knowledge.
• CSA certification required; App Dev/Implementation Specialist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow solutions across ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM.
• Customize and configure applications including rules, scripts, policies and workflows.
• Develop and maintain integrations with external systems via REST, SOAP, MID Server.
• Participate in requirements gathering, solution design, and technical documentation.
• Optimize performance and ensure stability and scalability of the platform.
• Provide troubleshooting and support for incidents and enhancements.
• Stay current with ServiceNow features and best practices; propose improvements.

Job Description

We are seeking a Contract ServiceNow Developer to join Brookfield in Toronto, ON from November 2026 to June 2027. In this role, you will play a key role in inspiring change and continual improvement. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on development experience with ServiceNow, including designing and implementing complex workflows, custom applications, integrations, and supporting platform enhancements. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and efficient solutions that align with business objectives.

Role & Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow solutions across multiple modules (ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, etc.) Customize and configure ServiceNow applications, including business rules, client scripts, UI policies, flows, and workflows Develop and maintain integrations with external systems using REST, SOAP, and MID Servers Participate in requirements gathering, solution design, and technical documentation Optimize performance and ensure the stability and scalability of the platform Support release and change management processes within ServiceNow Provide troubleshooting and support for ServiceNow incidents and enhancements Stay current with new ServiceNow features and best practices and proactively recommend improvements

Your Qualifications

SERVICE / PERSONAL SKILLS:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience
• Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform architecture and modules such as ITSM, CMDB, Catalog, and Workflow
• Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and ServiceNow’s proprietary scripting environments
• Proficient in Integration Hub, web services (REST/SOAP), and data transformation
• Experience with ServiceNow Studio, Flow Designer, and Scoped Applications
• Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) – required
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer or Implementation Specialist – preferred

Experience

• Knowledge of ITSM, CSDM, CMDB best practices, and Discovery
• Exposure to Now Experience UI Framework or Service Portal development
• Experience supporting multi-sector or multi-instance environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Education/Designations/LICENSES

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or relevant experience including IT certifications
• ITIL v3 Foundations or higher
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer or Implementation Specialist

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary Type: Non-Exempt
• Pay Frequency: Bi-weekly
• Annual Base Salary Range: $115,000-$125,000
