Role: ServiceNow Developer

Location: Montreal, QC (This is a hybrid (on-site 3 days/week) role)

Type: FTE

NOTE: Considering candidates only local to Montreal or in Quebec and FTE.

Experience: 5+ Years

• The successful candidate will work with an existing team within all facets of development from requirements gathering, design, development, code reviews, testing, to deployment in production. Responsibilities include designing, specifying, guiding development performed by junior developers, and reviewing their work. ServiceNow is a vendor-managed cloud service platform; the team customizes and builds applications within that platform and integrates with other internal systems and data sources.

Responsibilities:

• Work with an existing team across all facets of development including requirements gathering, design, development, code reviews, testing, and deployment.
• Design, specify, and guide development performed by junior developers and review their work.
• Customize and build applications within the ServiceNow platform and develop integrations with internal systems.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience working on the ServiceNow Platform.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience building and developing ServiceNow applications and third-party integrations.
• Strong background in software development, architecture, data structures, algorithms, and SDLC models.
• Knowledge of database concepts, SQL, and query optimization.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to distributed systems.
• Experience with Delegated Development, Entitlements, Flow Designer, Decision Tables, Workspace development, and customizations.
• Experience with ServiceNow APIs and integration patterns.
• Knowledge of ATF, Unit, and functional testing.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administration (CSA) certification.
• Certified ServiceNow Application Developer (CAD) or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work independently with customers to gather requirements and create solutions.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to analyze large data sets effectively.
• Team collaboration skills and openness to feedback.

Skills:

• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certification a plus.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Perl or Python, especially under Unix/Linux.
• AngularJS and Node.js experience a plus.
• Familiarity with SOAP, REST, XML, JSON.
• Understanding of web application UI and usability concepts.
• Knowledge of secure software development in cloud environments.
• ITIL or DevOps experience is a plus.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
