Birch Mountain Enterprises is hiring an experienced Service Writer for our Fort McKay Incubator Park location. The role focuses on coordinating maintenance shops, scheduling work, and delivering high-quality service to internal and external customers.

You will manage work orders, track costs, parts, and timelines, while training technicians on the order system and supporting management with reports. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills and a safety-minded

Qualifications

• 3-5 years Service Writer experience, or in a similar field.
• 3-5 years of Administration experience.
• Previous experience and strong knowledge in Heavy Duty and Automotive Mechanics.
• Minimum class 5 license with a clean driver’s abstract required.
• OSSA and CSTS Certification.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
• Maintenance software experience an asset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily service writer duties and coordinate maintenance shop communications.
• Schedule maintenance in the field and in the shop.
• Maintain accurate repair and maintenance records.
• Develop cost estimates and track parts and repair times.
• Train technicians on the work order system.
• Generate reports for management including equipment downtime.
• Ensure a safe and clean work environment.
• Coordinate parts ordering and delivery timelines.
