Job summary

Birch Mountain Enterprises is hiring for a temporary Washbay Labourer at our Fort McKay Industrial Park location. The role involves cleaning equipment and servicing the washbay, with a physically demanding workload in all weather conditions.

Preference will be given to candidates with previous site experience. Responsibilities include operating PPE, completing daily safety checklists, and maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors.
• Must be able to work collaboratively with all colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Spot equipment into position safely.
• Use PPE properly.
• Complete daily safety and inspection documentation.
• Perform daily housekeeping to maintain company image.
• Maintain a safe and organized work area.
• Attend safety meetings and follow site regulations.
• Assist in waste disposal and recycling activities.
• Operate high pressure monitor for steam cleaning.
• Work at heights and near haul trucks/mining equipment.
• Perform pre-wash inspection checks.
• Other duties as assigned.
