Birch Mountain Enterprises Ltd. invites experienced Heavy Equipment Technicians to join our Fort McKay Incubator Park team in Fort McMurray, Alberta.

This role focuses on shop and field repairs of off-road equipment, especially wiggle wagons, with safety and teamwork as core values. The ideal candidate is a certified journeyman with at least 3 years of off-road experience, a valid Class 5 license, and strong diagnostic skills across hydraulics, electronics, suspension, and computer systems.

Qualifications

• Certified journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician (minimum 3 years off-road experience).
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with clean abstract.
• Knowledge of heavy truck repair, hydraulics, electronics, suspension, and diagnostics.
• Experience with wiggle wagons and off-road equipment.
• OSSA (or OSSA BSO) and CSTS certification.
• Pre-employment screening and drug/alcohol testing required.

This role involves shop and field repairs on off-road equipment, specifically wiggle wagon trucks. What You’ll Need

• Certified as a Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician (minimum 3 years off-road experience)
• Valid driver’s license (minimum Class 5) with clean abstract
• Knowledge of all aspects of heavy truck repair, including hydraulic, electronic, suspension, and computer diagnosis
• Experience with off-road equipment, specifically wiggle wagons
• Experience with water, vac, and steam equipment considered an asset
• Clear verbal and written communication skills
• OSSA (or OSSA BSO) and CSTS certification
• Successful completion of BME pre-employment evaluation, drug & alcohol, and fit for duty screening
