Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience repairing agricultural equipment or related heavy machinery.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, and powertrain components.
• Ability to use diagnostic software and basic computer functions.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Journeyperson Agricultural Technician certification or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, inspect, repair, and maintain equipment with a strong commitment to customer support and quality workmanship.
• Use diagnostic tools, software, and technology to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems and complete complex repairs.
• Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled service according to manufacturer specifications.
• Complete repairs accurately and efficiently while maintaining clear service documentation.
• Maintain current knowledge of John Deere agriculture products and other equipment supported by the dealership.
• Participate in manufacturer, dealer-led, and technical training programs to further develop skills and technical capabilities.
• Work closely with Service, Parts, and other technicians to support customers and complete work effectively.

Requirements

• Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, and powertrain components
• Ability to use diagnostic software, electronic service tools, and basic computer functions
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and contribute within a team environment
• Commitment to professional development and ongoing technical training
• Experience with John Deere and competitive products is a definite asset
• Candidates ideally will possess a Journeyperson Agricultural Technician certification or equivalent in a mechanical field (i.e. Heavy Equipment, Automotive)
