Job summary

Bosch Truck Group Inc. is seeking a Service Technician / Utility Truck Mechanic to inspect, maintain and repair booms, aerials and diggers on utility trucks. A Red Seal Heavy Duty or Truck and Transport Journeyman qualification is required, with CUFC certification and 3 years experience preferred.

The role includes servicing customer fleets, documenting work, mentoring apprentices, and promoting a safe work environment at our Alberta locations. Class 3 license with Air/Q endorsement is a plus.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Heavy Duty or Truck and Transport Journeyman qualification.
• CUFC Certification with 3 years experience on booms, aerials and diggers.
• Class 3 Driver's License with Air or “Q” Endorsement preferred.
• Experience with International and supplier/warranty policies.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair booms, aerials and diggers on utility trucks.
• Prepare service jobs by reviewing repair orders and gathering tools, information and parts.
• Document findings and completed work; communicate additional issues discovered.
• Close out repair orders and support transitions to next jobs.
• Mentor technicians and apprentices and promote safety in the shop.

We are looking for a Service Technician / Utility Truck Mechanic to inspect, maintain and repair the boom, aerial and diggers on utility trucks. A CUFC certification is preferred but equivalent experience may be considered.

Key Responsibilities

The Service Technician is responsible for assisting our customers with their fleet maintenance and repairs including the following:

• Prepare for each service job by reviewing repair orders and gathering tools, information, and parts.
• Perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs following established procedures and safety standards.
• Restore vehicles to proper working condition and ensure your work area is clean and organized.
• Document all findings and completed work and communicate any additional issues discovered.
• Close out repair orders accurately and support smooth transitions to the next job.
• Mentor technicians and apprentices by sharing skills, offering guidance, and supporting their development.
• Promote a safe work environment by encouraging proper practices and helping maintain tools and equipment.

Qualifications

• A Red Seal Heavy duty or Truck and Transport Journeyman qualification.
• CUFC Certification with 3 years experience working on booms, aerials and diggers
• A desire to challenge yourself, and a willingness to embrace the extensive dealer training opportunities we provide through our dedicated training facility located at our Red Deer location.
• Pride and professionalism in everything you do.
• Class 3 Driver's License with Air or “Q” Endorsement preferred
• Experience working on all makes of on highway commercial vehicles
• Experience and familiarity with computers and computer software
• CDK (ADP) accounting software experience preferred.
• Good organizational skills.
• Working knowledge of International and supplier / vendors warranty policies.
