Job summary

Brandt Group of Companies seeks a Service Technician Resident based in Wainwright, reporting to our Edmonton Construction and Forestry branch. You will repair and maintain construction and forestry equipment, order parts, document work orders, and ensure safety standards are met.

Ideal candidates have a minimum of 3 years' experience with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems, plus strong diagnostic skills and attention to detail. We value teamwork and reliable customer service.

Job description

Brandt is currently seeking a Service Technician Resident based in Wainwright and the surrounding area, reporting to our Edmonton Construction and Forestry branch.

This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of construction and forestry based equipment and attachments.

What You Will Be Responsible For

• Efficiently and effectively evaluate the working condition of, diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts for, and repair equipment
• Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently
• Use related instruments, hand and power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems
• Accurately and completely document on work orders all machine information, actions taken, and time taken
• Continually assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely, and to accepted standards
• Use computer applications and information systems (i.e. John Deere Service Advisor) to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis
• Use parts catalogues to locate parts, and order parts from parts personnel
• Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required

What We Look For

• Ability to operate Forklift. Trade qualification (Heavy Equipment, Agriculture, Truck/Transport, Automotive) considered as asset. 3 years' relevant experience.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Possess computer and technical aptitude and knowledge for diagnostics and calibration work.
• Possess diagnostic skills to understand mechanical and technical equipment repair needs.
• Possess strong time management skills to perform under pressure.
• Possess strong communication skills, both written and oral.
