Job description

Brandt is currently seeking a Service Technician for the Southern Alberta region, reporting to our Calgary branch. This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of construction and forestry-based equipment and attachments.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Efficiently evaluate the working condition of, diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts for, and repair heavy-duty equipment.
2. Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
3. Utilize related instruments, hand and power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems.
4. Accurately document all machine information, actions taken, and time on work orders.
5. Continuously assess service task hazards, ensuring work is performed safely and to accepted standards.
6. Use computer applications and information systems (e.g., John Deere Service Advisor) to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis.
7. Use parts catalogues to locate and order parts from parts personnel.
8. Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required.
