Job summary

Ketek Group Inc in Canada is seeking a Service Technician to support field operations and customer service. The role is 85% fieldwork and 15% shop work, with shifting 16 days on 5 days off, and safety is emphasized.

You will install, troubleshoot, and maintain Ketek equipment, build client relationships, and follow dispatch instructions. Requires oilfield or construction experience and a valid Class 5 license.

Qualifications

• Trade tickets required; Millwright tickets preferred
• Fluent in English (reading, written, spoken)
• Minimum 3 years oilfield/construction experience
• Valid Class 5 with clean driver’s abstract
• High school diploma or journeyman ticket

Responsibilities

• Establish and promote excellent relationships through clear communication
• Take instruction from Project Manager and ensure tasks are completed safely
• Install, troubleshoot, maintain, demobilize Ketek equipment for clients
• Use, clean, and maintain tools required at the worksite
• Work in the shop when not in the field under supervision of a Shop Foreman
• Follow instructions from Dispatch
• Perform site functions and routine housekeeping
• Operate vehicles safely and complete required paperwork
• Complete safety training and follow PPE rules
• Adhere to Ketek policies and OH&S regulations

Position Background:

The Service Technician is integral to Ketek’s operations and isessential in assuring client retention through the provision of hands-oncustomer service. The career growth of a Service Technician is dependant uponpersonal interest, inclinations, and abilities.
SHIFT ROTATION: 16 days on 5 days off

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Establishand promote excellent relationships through clear and accuratecommunication
• Takeinstruction from Project manager and/or act to ensure tasks are completedin a safe manner

• Use,clean, and maintain the different tools required at the worksite
• Whennot in the field, will work in the shop and complete duties as requiredunder the direction of a Shop Foreman

• Performroutine onsite housekeeping duties
• Operatevehicles in a safe manner
• Fillrequired paperwork
• Successfullycomplete safety training as required on an ongoing basis
• Observeall safety procedures and use proper Personal Protective Equipment
• Ensurethat all of Ketek policies and Occupational Health and Safety regulationsare followed

Working Conditions:

• Fieldenvironment (85%) and shop environment (15%)
• Bewilling to and able work in remote locations for extended periods of time
• Thework is both physically and mentally demanding
• Mustwork outside in all different weather conditions including extreme coldand extreme heat
• Mabye exposed to unpleasant sights and smells
• Mayat times be exposed to dangerous and/or toxic substances and must takenecessary precautions to protect eyes, nose, and skin from irritation andinfection
• Expectedto do a reasonable amount of lifting, carrying, climbing, kneeling, andbalancing, therefore a certain amount of strength, dexterity, andalertness is required
• Requiredto work closely with other workers, clients, and/or third-partycontractors
• Maybe required to work at heights and/or in confined spaces
• Pre-accessdrug and alcohol testing may be required

Qualifications and Skills:

• Trade tickets are required; Millwright tickets are preferredfor the position.
