Ketek Group Inc. is seeking a Journeyman Heavy Equipment Service Technician to mentor apprentices and perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure equipment runs optimally.

The role requires following manufacturers' specs and safety standards while leading the maintenance team. The successful candidate will inspect equipment, source parts, and coordinate with other workers to complete work orders, while maintaining a clean and safe work environment in all weather

Competenze

• Journeyman Heavy Equipment Service Technician certificate required
• Minimum one year experience in heavy equipment service
• Fluent in English

Mansioni

• Maintain and repair mobile off-road equipment (loaders, excavators, bobcats, forklifts, air compressors, HDPE fusion equipment, scissor and man lifts)
• Schedule and prioritize maintenance work orders and apprentices
• Inspect engines/equipment to diagnose faults and perform cause analysis
• Order parts and follow Ketek maintenance guides
• Perform annual service on heating equipment and flameless heaters
• Test and operate repaired equipment
• Conduct housekeeping duties
• Assist with related duties as required

Position Background:

The Journeyman Mechanic works to guide and mentor apprentices. This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues and repair to ensure equipment is performing optimally.

Responsibilities:

• Effectively manage, schedule and prioritize maintenance work orders and apprentices
• Exercise judgement in the selection of materials and tools as well as methods so that the job is performed in accordance with accepted manufacturers specifications and safety standards
• Examine the reason, through cause analysis, for failure or improper operation of engines, pumps, running gear, parts, and equipment
• Maintenance of Mobile OFF-ROAD equipment (front end loaders, excavators, bobcats, forklifts, air compressors, HDPE fusion equipment, scissor lift, man lift, towing equipment and other)
• Maintenance of heating equipment. Perform annual service of Forced air equipment, flameless heaters. Ground towing equipment
• Test and operate repaired equipment as required
• Follow manufacturing guideline to complete work orders as per Ketek policies and maintenance guides, order parts, communicate with other workers, make recommendations
• Conduct housekeeping duties
• Perform other related duties as required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Journeyman Heavy Equipment Service Technician certificate with minimum one- year experience (Required)
• Able to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
• Fluent in English
• Able to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
• Strong work ethic
• Fall Protection Experience (Preferred)

Shift:

• 14 on 7 off, day shift
• On-call availability
• Able to work in all weather conditions
